ASPAFTV have a fantastic new addition to their School Holiday Courses – Creative Shorts. In Creative Shorts you call the shots! Working alongside an industry insight-rich team including a professional Cinematographer and Production Assistant, and Warner Brothers Roadshow Studios award-winning actor Amanda Hardwick, film buffs aged 8 to 17 are eloquently exposed to key insider tips and tricks. If you are new to acting, don’t worry we will teach you some of the ‘must know’ fundamentals of becoming an actor, including:
◾Script interpretation and analysis
◾Performance Instrument Introduction – Voice and Body (Expression, Articulation, Verbal Dynamics, Projection, Spatial Awareness and Blocking)
◾Acting Techniques including ASPAFTV’s unique techniques and processes for approaching dramatic textDuring the week, you will have the opportunity to write and star in as many as five Creative Short films! Whether you want to write your own monologue, short scene or perform a scene from your favourite movie or book the choice is yours (who hasn’t wanted to give Dakota Fanning a run for her money?). Perhaps, you might like to try your hand at starring in a television commercial or maybe you could write some pieces to camera and give some television presenting a go? Feel like a challenge or always wanted to work with a particular student to write and perform in an Oscar worthy scene? Creative Shorts is for you. The uber talented Cinematographer/Editor Dale Norton, and our ASPAFTV Production Assistants will have their equipment ready and set to go for the whole week so you will have ample time to get in front of the camera and ACT. Another benefit of Creative Shorts is that we will edit your footage on the go! That’s right! Dale will be working around the clock to get your scenes to you on DVD on Friday before you leave.
